Best Practice Guidelines Working Party

Council have considered that the Institute should identify and endorse best practices to the membership and, equally importantly, communicate those policies in a meaningful and balanced way to those who have occasion to ‘look in’ to see what the Institute is recommending. It is completely accepted than many members will already be working to their own best practice guidelines.

The process of achieving best practice is dynamic it is not a one off project it is on going with ownership, a review and re-issue cycle.

Identifying and implementing best practices cannot be achieved all at once and there is a need to setup a working party to establish a starting point as best practice must apply across the range of our working activities.

Best practice guidelines are not intended to be used as a stick to thrash a practitioner who has deviated from the guidelines.

If you would like to be part of the working party on the Institutes best practice guidelines please send an e-mail to bestpractice@itai.org
